City in Quarantine

Around this time last year when the whole world was shutting down, I took my film camera out on a Sunday to capture the lack of activity, particularly at churches.

The signs announcing closures seemed to be the starkest reminder of the crumbling infrastructures around us. Nobody was immune. I would have never guessed then that many of these businesses might still have the same signs up a year later as we reckon with a new normal.
